Abstract

The variable temperature ¹³C NMR spectra of H₂Os₃(CO)₁₀ and H₂Os₃(CO)₁₀L (L P(C₆H₅)₃, P(O-i_C₃H₇)s3) and P(i_C₃H₇)₃) have been recorded and the results interpreted in terms of a localized exchange process involving concerted motion of the hydride and the carbonyl ligands. Taken along with previously reported variable temperature ¹H NMR data the results provide a complete picture of the ligand dynamics in these systems.
