Abstract
The study examines various documents and facts regarding the suburban area of Pavia in which the basilica of S. Pietro in Ciel'Oro is located. It examines also the traces of an ancient vestibule of the romanesque church. Such vestibule was in the original plans, nonetheless it was never built.
