Abstract
The present paper proposes the use of Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) to point out graphically critical links in a transport network. The method is applied to a Italian regional case: the Piedmont rail network. The non-integration of the western areas with the eastern areas is shown and it is so evident that it seems there are two
different rail network.
