Abstract
[Machine translation] Of the three contributions of Francisco Fernández de Córdoba to the Gongorina controversy, Don Luis de Góngora's Examination of the Antidote or Apology for Solitude against the author of the Antidote (1617) is undoubtedly the most solid and thoughtful. With a continuous mix of erudition and irony, the Abbot of Rute responds to Juan de Jáuregui's Antidote to the Pestilent Poem of Soledades (1615), refuting each of the objections adduced by the poet and painter from Seville, while giving us a keen reading of the silvas of the genius of Córdoba., This is the first edition that reconstructs the text of the Exam according to the Neolachmannian method. The variants of the eight manuscripts that transmit the work are included in the critical apparatus that fastens this volume. In addition to addressing problems related to the ecdotic aspect, the introductory study and the notes that accompany the critical text seek to contextualize the writing of Férnandez de Córdoba's pamphlet within the framework of the controversy surrounding Góngora's new poetry.
