Abstract

Valuetools is a conference dedicated to the latest developments in methodologies and tools for performance evaluation of systems. Methodologies are largely based on queueing theory, process algebra, game theory, discrete-event simulation, and machine learning. One of the features of Valuetools is a session dedicated to demos of tools (simulation, model checking, …) that are of interest to the community. The 12th edition of the Valuetools conference was held in Palma de Mallorca from the 13th to the 15th March 2019. The technical program had 3 invited speakers – Profs. Uri Yechiali, Susanna Donatelli, and Dieter Fiems – 18 regular papers, 9 shorts papers, 5 posters and 4 demos. From the 18 regular papers, 5 were invited to submit an extended version for this special issue. The choice was based on review scores and the relevance to the scope of this journal. All the five submissions underwent the same review process as a regular journal submission.
