Abstract
[Machine translation] In the second part of Don Quixote, its protagonist has to deal with three different avatars of his person. After the initial understandable surprise, curiosity about the modes of existence of his doubles may outshine and offense —in a couple of cases-, and he'll want to know more about those future exes that he had never heard of. Don Quixote's analysis of the three moments of confrontation with his other selves, reading them in the light of theories about the double, reveals the work's privileged location in the trajectory of the modern novel.
