Abstract
The results of endoscopic examination of 90 women suffering from various uterine complaints but with one common denomintor: metrorrhagia, are reported. Hamon's microsysterocolposcope was used for the study. This is the best tool for the study of the uterine cavity as it is simple to use, does not cause damage and can 'see through blood'. The finding of two endometrial carcinomas in their initial stage added greater weight to the conviction that hysteroscopy can be useful in the early diagnosis of endouterine neoplastic diseases.
