Abstract

Chiral D = 10, N = 2 supergravity is derived by gauging a particular free differential algebra. This provides the necessary framework to construct its group manifold action. The situation parallels that of the D = 6 supergravity found by D'Autria, Fré and Regge, for which and action exists only on the group manifold. A short review on free differential algebras and their gauging is included for self-consistency.
