Aporofobia. Paura e povertà

In questo saggio l’Autrice riflette sulla povertà e sul suo rapporto con la democrazia; su come la paura della povertà dovrebbe essere lenita dallo Stato attraverso la garanzia della sicurezza sociale, ma su come talvolta essa venga invece istigata a fini politici; su come, infine, l’unico antidoto alla paura della povertà sia la solidarietà, attuale e orizzontale, piuttosto che il suo carico sulle spalle delle generazioni future. In this paper the author reflects on poverty and its relationship with democracy; how the fear of poverty should be soothed by the state through the guarantee of social security, but how sometimes it is instead instigated for political gains; and how, finally, the only antidote to the fear of poverty is the horizontal solidarity of the courrent generation, rather than its burden on the shoulders of future generations.
