In addition to presenting ecdotic issues, the introductory study and the explanatory notes that accompany the critical text also aim to contextualize the drafting of Tiempo de regocijo y carnestolendas de Madrid in the context of the short novellistics of the Spanish Baroque, highlighting, in particular, both the main formal characteristics of the work and the intertextual relationships that link it with contemporary literary production.
