Abstract

K.W.F. Solger (1780-1819) elaborated a neoplatonic-christian ontology, based on the concept of revelation of the absolute in the phenomenal reality and focused on the concept of nothing because the absolute reveals itself in the reality by nullifying itself in it. The essay analizes the nexus between revelation and irony, core of Solger’s aesthetical theory, and then it describes the relation between revelation and creation which, with the connected notions of incarnation and redemption, is the centre of solgerian philosophy of religion.
