In the first part, entitled Questions, the main stages (namely ontological personalism, the ontology of the inexhaustible and the ontology of freedom) of Pareysonian reflection are presented first of all - also to offer a general orientation that frames subsequent specific investigations - the main stages (i.e. ontological personalism, the ontology of the inexhaustible and the ontology of freedom). After analyzing the relationship between ontology and ethics, we then focus on the analysis of the links between freedom and community and between freedom and responsibility, investigating in this regard the relationship between Pareyson's position and that of Levinas. In the second part, entitled Paths, we first investigate the thematic background and the horizon of meanings in which Pareyson's philosophy, namely the biblical text and narrative, is broadly rooted. It then shows how the symbol, always placed at the center of his reflection, indicates the structure and implementation of the problematic and paradoxical relationship between person and being. Finally, the configuration of the concepts of participation, presence and uniqueness is investigated, noting - in a particularly innovative way and according to a theoretical perspective that opens up to further critical insights - how the final phase of Pareysonian reflection is characterized by a univocistic hermeneutical ontology that can be instructive to relate to analogical metaphysics.
