Abstract
[Machine translation] Introduction.
The Unplugged program, based on the model of social influence, aims to prevent and/or delay the use of psychoactive substances and improve the well-being and psychosocial health of children. The effectiveness of Unplugged was evaluated by the European eu-DAP (European Drug Addiction Prevention Trial) study, coordinated by the Observatory
Epidemiological of Addiction - Piedmont Region, in collaboration with the University of Turin and the University of Eastern Piedmont “A. Avogadro”. afterward
The dissemination experience in the Piedmont Region, Unplugged has been identified and selected as an effective program for the alcohol, smoking and substances area of the project
ministerial “Gaining Health in Adolescence”, with the aim of transferring effective practices throughout the country.
Methods.
Unplugged is divided into 12 units and is conducted in the classroom by the teacher using an interactive methodology. Teachers are specifically trained by participating in a 20-hour training course, conducted by local trainers, in turn formed by the Unplugged training group coordinated by OED Piemonte.
Results.
Thirteen regions (Piedmont, Valle D'Aosta, Lombardy, Liguria, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Autonomous Province of Trento, Tuscany, Marche, Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia, Calabria) have joined Unplugged. Between November 2010 and February 2012 they took place
13 training sessions, involving 271 operators identified locally in services active in addiction prevention and health promotion. In turn the
trainers conducted 71 training sessions for 1,158 teachers, belonging to 286 schools, first and second grade secondary schools. It is estimated that such teachers
they will reach a total of 654 classes equal to 14,951 students.
Conclusions.
The Unplugged activity monitoring system will ensure that you follow and evaluate the entire process, with particular attention to the participation and satisfaction of students and teachers. From a first reading of the available data comes
a strong participation and motivation in activities and an engaging and dynamic climate in training with teachers have been reconfirmed, as well as related critical issues
to the organization of training.
