Abstract
[Machine translation] The study concerns a stone element shaped and decorated with a vegetable branch band, recovered within the area of the convent of the Capuchin Friars Minor of Tortona, already home to the women's monastery probably founded in the early medieval period of Santa Eufemia. The piece is decontextualized and of problematic function, but it could be traced back to the architectural decoration of the church whose excavations are bringing to light impressive structures. The dating is traced back, at the level of working hypotheses, to the 12th century.
