Abstract

[Machine translation] Framework of the wide network of production, distribution, consumption and communication that between the late forties and the early seventies defined the Italian artistic-literary scene and inserted it into the globalized world thanks above all to transatlantic exchanges, or to the economic, political and cultural relations that in that period took shape between Italy, the United States, and other European countries, promoting a renewed image of Italy and helping to accelerate the transnational connotation of literary, cultural and identifiers of each country. The essay addresses the methodological problems raised by the ambition to map the network of editorial, literary, cultural and translational relationships that take shape between Italian and American authors, agents and institutions in the post-war period, relationships irreducible to the concept of influence.
