Abstract

[Machine translation] The author points out four new vulgar writings in Pavese mosaics from the first half of the 12th century that could be related to the already known Piedmontese inscriptions of Vercelli and Casale Monferrato, also in support of the vulgar nature of the mosaic of the FOL and FEL in Vercelli, not shared by everyone. Therefore, Piedmontese mosaics no longer represent unprecedented and isolated cases of the appearance of speech on mosaic floors from the mid-12th century, but are found in other churches in northern Italy.
