Abstract
The spectra of CO adsorbed on Pt/Al2O3 samples indicate that two faces are dominant on the metal particles. Bands due to CO adsorbed on oxidized platinum sites are observed also on the reduced samples. Comparison of spectra relative to samples with different Pt loadings indicate metal-support interaction involving the most electron deficient aluminium sites.
