Abstract

[Machine translation] In a social reality in which the succession story is increasingly characterized by elements of internationality, EU Regulation no. 650/2012 has a central interest not only in the perspective of conflict rules and the law applicable to the succession but also with regard to the substantive inheritance law of the member States. In this last regard, the contribution, even starting from the objective of promoting the integration that generally underlies European legislation of private international law, highlights the growing dialogue between legal systems that results from the application of EU Regulation no. 650/2012, an effect resulting in that circulation of rules and models that is functional to the approximation of national laws. European legislation on the law applicable to succession is then assigned a specific and central role in harmonizing the inheritance law of the member States, recognizing the specific task of contributing in a determined manner to the construction of a European private law
