Abstract

Examination of 2252 women with genital hematic stillicidium over a 15-yr period is reported. Histomorphological investigation revealed 1381 instances of endometrial disease, and 871 cases of alteration of the portio and cervical canal. Statistical assessment of the results showed that the probability of malignant endometrial neoplasia increased with age. The ratio between malignant endometrial and exo-endocervical forms varied with age, increasing from 0.123:1 in the 4th decade to a maximum of 3.322:1 in the 8th decade.
