Abstract
Isolated segment I liver resection is rarely performed due to several factors: unusual tumoral localization, complex anatomic location, and complex surgical intervention; however, it offers the possibility of both a radical anatomical resection and a sparing of the functional surrounding hepatic parenchyma. The following chapter presents surgical critical anatomy and technic for mini-invasive segment I resection with a particular focus on Glissonean approach.
