Abstract
High-field 13C NMR studies at various temperatures on 13C enriched samples of Co4(CO)12 and mono substituted derivatives, together with new 59Co results can be interpreted in terms of CO exchange and 13C relaxation of the second kind caused by 13C59Co coupling. Erstwhile missing 13C lines have now been observed and the details of the effects of relaxation used to assign these lines to apical CO ligands in a C3ν structure.
