Abstract
[Machine translation] On 23 January last, at the Société de législation comparée, a conference was held to present the collection of studies entitled Le droit étranger. Études de droit international privé comparé, published under the direction of Gustavo Cerqueira and Nicolas Nord. Going beyond private international law, the collection of studies highlights how comparative law is the tool that allows the interpreter to know the foreign law to be applied to the present case.
