Abstract

[Machine translation] The volume presents 30 interventions by academics and activists to provide an updated mapping of queer positions in Italy 15 years after the first Queer volume in Italy. Differences in Motion (ETS 2011). The curator has identified the authors in the most inclusive way possible in order to give space to the entire spectrum of gender and sexual identities that are claiming their subjectivity beyond traditional gender binarism, and often with an approach of political radicality and social justice broader than individual identity claims. The curator's long afterword reflects on the methodology and problems inherent in the repetition of a project 15 years later, and on the changed reception and composition conditions of the LBGTQIA+ movement. The transnational character of the Italian queer movement is evidenced by some diasporic voices and by a bibliographic survey of all the contributions translated into Italian recently, so that the bibliography at the bottom of the volume also represents an ideal queer library available today in Italian.
