Abstract
[Machine translation] This work is part of the framework of ecolinguistics studies, which have shown, especially in an international context, how the linguistic analysis of communication linked to environmental issues can be preliminary to the proposal of a different style of information, aimed at constructing those beneficial discourses that can promote actions to combat and/or mitigate the problem of climate change. The intention here is to provide a contribution to this type of analysis through a reflection on journalistic communication in Italian relating to issues related to the environment and, more precisely, to what is now defined as the climate crisis. Attention will be focused on some specific phenomena, such as the use of metaphors (in particular, the metaphors of war and the race against time), the use of intensification, the use of impersonal constructs and nominalizations, the semantic imprecision determined especially by the use of prefixsoids such as eco- and anglisms such as green.
