Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

[Machine translation] This volume collects the studies and research that a working group, consisting mainly of geographers, has carried out as part of various agreements that the Department of Tourism and Sport of the Piedmont Region has concluded with the Department of Studies for Business and Territory (DiPSiT) of the University of Eastern Piedmont to consolidate the positive results and the success that Piedmontese tourism has achieved over the last decade., The final result of all the work done now consists of an ordered sequence of argumentative analyses, programmatic acts and projects that not only obey the institutional purposes for which they were produced, but which also seems to be foreshadowed as a set of descriptions, operational models and “best practices” that could be used in the field of university education and research on the regional development of tourism. It is in this perspective that they have been selected and systematized below under the expression of “programmatic chains and tourism development initiatives in Piedmont”, which also gives the title to this volume.
