Abstract
[Machine translation] The directive on real estate credit to consumers (Directive 2014/17/EU), with the objective of protecting the financed entity and guaranteeing him greater awareness of the economic commitment he is going to assume, has introduced a discipline that proceduralizes consent and obliges the lender to provide a series of information to the consumer. The article critically analyzes the discipline in question, also as interpreted and applied, highlighting its unsuitability to pursue the objectives that the European legislator intended to achieve.
