Abstract
[Machine translation] Giuseppe Di Luca's work addresses the issue of the relationship between religion and pandemic with a sociological and empirical approach. The pandemic has revived many issues that had previously remained dormant almost everywhere, and has stressed the role of Churches and religions in organizing closures and creating alternative ways not only to worship, but also to guarantee spiritual and material support to their faithful. The study investigates all this in a particular case, that of Catholicism in a small diocese in Northern Italy, the diocese of Alessandria.
