Abstract
[Machine translation] In recent years, film festivals have broadened the horizons of meaning of the seascape with multiple reflections inspired by environmental themes. In this context, we examined ten film festivals dedicated to ecology and the environment in order to understand their objectives and their relationship with the territory. Exploring its programming from 2005 to 2020, we have created a geographical map on environmental issues related to the sea treated explicitly or in the filmic subtext, such as industrial pollution of water and coast, problems deriving from trawling or the loss of marine biodiversity. The map has also made it possible to identify the geographical areas over-or under-represented by the Italian green films in competition.
