Abstract

[Machine translation] The essay reconstructs the multifaceted activity of Pier Maria Pasinetti, novelist, professor and scholar of Italian literature, journalist, translator and screenwriter, who was a key figure in cultural dialogue between Italy and the United States in the 20th century, focusing mainly on Pasinetti's initiatives aimed at promoting Italian culture in the United States: from university teaching to some important publishing projects, up to the co-founding of the magazine “Italian Quarterly”.
