Abstract

[Machine translation] In the logic of servitization, the need to reconfigure the competitive strategy, regardless of the role played in the service chain, emerges as a natural consequence for maintaining and improving one's leadership position. Moreover, pursuing a service-based strategy requires significant changes in organizational and managerial approach and logic, but also new skills and abilities, as well as a new cultural orientation. This is a change that, if properly implemented, can result in interesting economic and financial results. Conversely, if misundertaken, it can cause even very critical negative consequences. Based on these premises, this text offers a reading of the phenomenon of servitization in the HCV sector, through practical examples and the contribution of relevant experts and operators in the sector. Adopting the point of view of customers, manufacturers and service networks, the text analyzes the key elements of a winning service-centric business model, highlighting the importance of reconciling your strategy with market needs, making the offer consistent with customer needs and equipping yourself with adequate business, managerial and professional skills. The text also reports some important considerations on the opportunities and threats of future servitization and on the main challenges to which companies in the HCV sector will be called upon to respond, to maintain their leadership position and face the difficulties deriving from increasingly driven technological innovation and the needs of an increasingly demanding and complex market.
