Abstract
[Machine translation] The demographic aging of society has created the need to explore ways to age well and to imagine social policies to promote the security, participation and health of the elderly, with the risk of marginalizing them. It is important to define laws and regulations that address possible discrimination against older adults. At the same time, we must ensure the empowerment of the elderly and define rules that take into account their vulnerability. The task is not easy. The issue has been addressed with different approaches in different legal systems. It is also important to consider the contributions that religious laws can bring to the issue, since these systems are deeply intertwined with the role of people in society.
