Abstract

[Machine translation] The literature review carried out aims to highlight the impact generated by gender diversity on boards of directors, regarding the issue of corporate sustainability. The results highlight how the innovation in corporate governance deriving from the presence of women on boards, both in family and non-family businesses, contributes to improving corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance. The objective is to investigate the impact of female representation on boards of directors, considering the different aspects related to CSR and ESG.
