Abstract

[Machine translation] The paper analyzes the use of social networks and social media by the public administration, in particular in the relationship that is established between administrations and citizens. Representing a crucial tool for increasing citizen participation, on the one hand, and increasing the information flow useful for improving the provision of public services, the use of social networks in the administration highlights the inadequacy of the related legislative discipline, which can be deduced from the combined provisions of the Law on Communication and Public Information (law n. 150/2000) and the Code of Digital Administration (Legislative Decree no. 82 of 2005).
