Le sfide del pluralismo alla giustizia

Translated title of the contribution: The challenges of pluralism to justice

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Interactive Justice defines a complex and fine grained account of justice that can address the challenges of pluralism. Ceva points out that deep disagreements can create an impasse that undermines the cooperation among the members of society. To overcome this impasse it is necessary to develop a procedural account of justice that is independent, though complementary, to outcome-oriented perspectives on justice. I will show that Ceva does not only define an original account of justice but successfully meets a very demanding acceptability test. I will finally point out that though this perspective is particularly inclusive (and more inclusive than the alternatives), it does not seem to provide reasons that unreasonable and illiberal individuals can accept.
