Abstract
[Machine translation] This article analyzes and discusses some key concepts of the anti-oppressive approach,, demonstrating its potential to guide the practice of social work. This perspective is, developed with the aim of helping to combat forms of oppression and social inequality that impact individuals, groups and communities; however, its translation into practice encounters barriers at different levels, rooted in the processes that influence the definition of the role and functions of social workers in welfare systems. This work intends to propose analyses and reflections useful to connect the theoretical references that base the anti-oppressive approach, to the exercise of professional practice, stimulating debate also in the Italian context., This article analyzes and discusses some key concepts of the anti-oppressive approach, demonstrating its potential to guide social work practice.
