Abstract
[Machine translation] In Don Quixote, evident traits of theatricality are perceived, from the use of the characters' dialogue as a dramatic element that builds diegetic tension or as a narrative function, in place of the narrator, to the tragic or comic character of Don Quixote. All these theatrical traits are analyzed to offer an explanation for the extraordinary luck of Cervantes' novel on the stages of all time.
