Abstract
[Machine translation] The decline in voter turnout, however drastic it may be, is now so awaited that it no longer causes a sensation. However, this phenomenon requires an analysis and, if possible, an explanation. And this is what we will try to offer in this chapter dedicated to voter turnout, illustrating the trend of electoral participation in regions with ordinary statute from 1970 to today and offering some hypotheses related to the structural reasons for the decline in voter turnout during the regional elections of 2015.
