La issue immigrazione nelle elezioni comunali italiane

The tasks of regions and local authorities range from the fields of health, to those of work, education and training, and the social sector. Municipalities and their mayors are leading figures and actors with great political responsibilities. It is therefore important to understand the guidelines of the administrations in terms of policies for the reception and integration of immigrants. In this chapter, we will analyze the electoral programs for the October 2021 local elections of the main candidates for the office of mayor in the capitals of the regions with ordinary statute and we will offer a brief diachronic analysis of how the offer of policies on this issue has changed over the last ten years.
