Abstract

[Machine translation] Gabriele D'Annunzio made his debut as a playwright with A Dream of a Spring Morning, a symbolist work, based on the figure of the protagonist, who went crazy after holding her lover killed by her husband in her arms all night long: now, due to madness, she feels like a plant creature, and would like to confuse herself with the flowers of the garden and the plants of the forest. This study shows that the three parts in which the scene is presented - the house, the garden and the forest - represent the place of confrontation and confrontation between the laws of men, which impose fidelity and prohibit adultery, and the laws of nature, in which instinct and desire for free love dominate.
