Abstract
[Machine translation] The year 2017 was decidedly significant with regard to migration both because they were the subject of much greater public attention and because in four important elections (United Kingdom, France, Holland, Germany) migration was precisely at the center of a heated political confrontation and had a significant impact on the outcome of the votes. During 2017, political elections were held in the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom and Germany.
In this chapter, the results of an analysis of the electoral programs of the main competing parties will be presented focusing on two issues in particular: the attitude towards the European Union and towards the issue of migration. Finally, the results of the vote will be presented, assuming the possible consequences that the choices of the voters may have on the future of the EU and its migration policies.
