Abstract
[Machine translation] An event can be defined as' large 'or' mega 'not only because of its size or the number of visitors it can attract, but also because of its uniqueness and wide international distribution through the media. The city that hosts a major event is faced with many opportunities, but also many problems to manage. The experiences of cities are different: some are successful, others represent failures. The article highlights the general implications of a major event and, through an analysis conducted on an international scale, focuses on managing its' legacy 'in the long term.
