Abstract
[Machine translation] The theme of urban voids, abandoned, undefined spaces and their transformation, revitalization and regeneration has taken on increasing importance over the years, so much so that it has become a strategic action in many Italian and European public policies. The interventions to reuse these abandoned spaces to allocate them to new activities and services, especially cultural and creative, involves the participation and interaction of different actors, public and private. , The contribution intends to present some experimentations and experiences of the re-functionalization of abandoned assets in urban contexts belonging to the “territories in transition” of eastern Piedmont. Particular attention will be paid to the variety of approaches and methods of intervention, to the subjects involved and to the characteristics of both the reference context and the asset being transformed. In fact, the analysis aims to highlight the general trends that may reveal the enabling conditions, opportunities and potential to be seized, but also the elements of weakness and risk. The contribution will make it possible to enrich the cognitive framework on the subject and offer a review of concrete experiences carried out in these territories.
