Abstract
[Machine translation] Starting from the polysemic and polychrome concept of identity, and its very close connection with the idea of nation, my contribution intends to deepen some aspects of left-wing nationalism, and in particular of Catalan independence. From the analysis of the thought of some paradigmatic figures - for example that of Teresa Forcades, Benedictine nun, feminist theologian, brilliant and sharp exponent of the independence movement of Catalonia - we want to trace a concept of identity and nation different from the current majority of populism and exasperated sovereignty: far from representing a closed and self-referential form of chauvinism, the Catalan one (not the only one, however) declines as an open and inclusive nationalism. In many ways, an interesting and perhaps generalizable model in the eradicated global context in which we are immersed.
