Abstract
[Machine translation] The contribution examines the echoes of the myth of Don Giovanni, and in particular of the libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte set to music by Mozart, in the Novelle in Verses by Giambattista Casti. These are mostly tacit but obvious allusions, especially in the variations on the theme of the 'catalog'; the exception is The Devil, a novel in which Casti explicitly refers to Da Ponte's libretto, proposing an ironic and partly parodic rewriting, and at the same time enriching the intertextual network with other references, from Dante to hagiographic literature, from the iconography of the temptations of Saint Anthony to the adventure novel.
