Abstract
[Machine translation] This contribution discusses the question of the reaction of Trentino soldiers during the First World War and describes the development of their national identity from initial national indifference to nationalization in the Italian state. The final hypothesis is that those who were nationalized during the First World War were then the hard core of fascism in the decades between the two wars.
