Abstract
[Machine translation] The book testifies to a long journey of research, involving teachers, scholars and students, focused on the challenge that the experience of meeting others represents: an essential encounter in which the answers of hospitality, hospitality and compassion are found. Impervious to an approach that intends to talk about the ego and the other, with reflections on their relationship, the correlation of the ego and the other is rather the experience from which to start. It is a challenge for thought, since the meeting is an event that involves the subjects in play and that prevents them from remaining simple spectators. The journey undertaken was itself a continuous encounter, of mutual hospitality, in which the interlocutors - with their different training, their experiences and their different ages - have represented in themselves a wealth for a critical elaboration that can offer significant tools for a thematization of dialogue between cultures and the underlying theoretical, practical and ethical challenges on which we must continue to question yourself.
