Abstract
An expression is given for the high temperature current noise in discontinuous metal films. Experimental results on gold films deposited on sapphire substrates are in good agreement with the proposed theory over a wide temperature range (350-800 K). Some discrepancies between the theory and experimental data at higher temperatures are also discussed.
