Heritography. Per una geografia del patrimonio culturale vissuto e rappresentato

Cartography, in fact, plays a central role in the narration and enhancement of territories, as well as in the text. Its methods and tools are explored, especially with reference to the so-called “alternative” cartography, that is, narrative, semantic, perceptive and participatory. This makes it possible to highlight opportunities and visions for virtuous processes of valuation from the bottom to the medium-long term, as well as to offer a focus on Community Maps and on some projects that have developed along the Alps. , In this theoretical and methodological framework, the second part of the volume dedicated to the research results of the Comuniterrae project, which has become Commonlands in the European and international sense, is inserted. The participatory laboratory in the “Middle Lands” of the Val Grande National Park, in Piedmont, on which the project is structured, is told in the light of the project management and governance approaches adopted. The result is both considerations regarding the outputs achieved from the beginning of the project initiative, in 2016, to today, and medium-long term outcomes that push the project into the future. The process of reinterpreting the path taken and the current project steps are placed in the field of geography and territorial design.
