Abstract

[Machine translation] The writer Guido Ceronetti (1927-2018) was very close to Andezeno, a town on the Turin Hill where the family originated and where he spent part of his childhood and adolescence. The article traces this link through the frequent references that Ceronetti makes to Andezeno in his works: a painful description is contained in the book A Journey to Italy, a poem dedicated to the country is present in the collection The Distance, other quotes are contained in many of his writings. Ceronetti talks about Andezeno without discounts, without fiction, without censorship, sometimes he even writes harshly, but his sincere affection for this village, his “place of memory”, in which he wanted to be buried, shines through.
