Abstract

[Machine translation] This work investigates the role of fashion in the French seventeenth century, in order to highlight not only some aspects related to morals and to the anthropological-philosophical ethics of the time, but also to focus attention on aesthetic, theoretical and literary hermeneutics that reflect, if not a real theological dimension, at least a vision of the world that makes use of fashion to give life to speculative, spiritual and philosophical research, in which influences of a Catholic morality intertwined with the taste for worldliness, typical of the seventeenth-century living room.
